Upload WAV, MP3 or FLAC. Trace reads the audio structure and checks available provenance and metadata.
Forensic audio signals are compared and mapped across the track. Trace builds a spectrogram and identifies localized evidence regions.
Your report combines provenance, master-level signals and timeline evidence. Click the waveform to hear the regions Trace is referring to.
Where deeper examination is useful, stem-level analysis can separately examine vocals, drums, bass and other elements.
Trace is a forensic screening tool. It reports characteristics and evidence found in the submitted audio; it is not proof of origin. Results remain available in My Scans.

That percentage describes flagged time across your track. It doesn’t measure how much of the music was made with AI.

A percentage looks precise. That makes it easy to give it the wrong meaning.
In TRACE, evidence coverage is the proportion of the track’s duration with flagged measurements. It describes where the report found signals across time. It does not measure the percentage of AI-generated music.
Imagine a 200-second track with 13 seconds of flagged regions in total. Those regions cover 6.5% of the track’s duration.
That is a timing calculation: 13 divided by 200, multiplied by 100. It does not establish that 13 seconds were generated by AI. It also does not tell you whether a voice, a drum, a sample or several elements contributed to the measurements.
This is an illustrative example, not a published test result or a scan of a particular artist’s work.
Coverage asks how much of the timeline is flagged. Strength describes the reported evidence level.
A short region can carry stronger measurements than a long stretch of weaker signals. A large coverage number can describe widespread measurements without proving the production history.
These measures should be read side by side. Turning coverage into an “AI percentage” combines two different questions and makes the report sound more certain than it is.
A finished track is a mix. Vocals, drums, bass, effects and other elements can overlap at the same moment.
A flagged second is therefore a second of mixed audio. It is not a count of AI-created notes, an estimate of creative contribution, or a percentage of the artists involved. The timeline cannot assign authorship to each component.
A longer highlighted region is an invitation to inspect more of the sound, not proof that a larger portion of the creative work came from a generator.
Use the waveform to locate the measurements and listen around them. Then check the summary and evidence-strength label. Consider the production context you already have, including samples and the way the master was exported.
If you are comparing reports, keep the source files and scan versions clear. A coverage difference tells you the reports flagged different amounts of time. Establishing why requires further investigation.
Zero flagged coverage does not establish that a track is entirely human-made. It means this analysis did not mark time regions under its detection rules.
Likewise, high coverage does not establish that a track is entirely generated. Both conclusions require evidence beyond the duration figure.
Read “6.5% evidence coverage” as “flagged measurements appeared across 6.5% of this track’s duration.”
That keeps the number useful. It points you to the parts worth examining without claiming to measure something the scan has not established.
An explainer is educational guidance. Test notes describe documented experiments; neither format certifies an individual track.
Explore the signals, then read them in context.

Separate tracks can add context, but separating a master does not automatically prove where a suspicious signal originated.

ai musicstemsaudio evidenceTRACE is currently in testing. This page outlines the current service. Final purchase terms and privacy information will be published before payments and public launch.
TRACE screens submitted audio for provenance, metadata and measurements associated with AI-generated material. A result is not proof of who created a track. Ordinary production and processing may explain suspicious measurements, and a scan may miss AI-generated material.
Only upload audio you have permission to submit. Saved scans are accessed through your signed-in account. An identical upload in your own account can open its saved report for free; a new analysis requires confirmation of its displayed credit cost.
Credit purchases are not yet enabled. Launch packs are €9 for 10 credits, €19 for 25 credits and €39 for 60 credits. One credit covers one completed master scan; failed processing does not consume a credit. Purchased credits will be valid for 12 months from purchase, with no subscription or automatic renewal. Final purchase and refund terms will be published before checkout opens.
Audio is stored to support saved-report playback and is automatically deleted 30 days after a completed scan. The report remains in My Scans after the audio expires. You can delete a scan earlier at any time; deleting a scan removes its saved report, stored audio and playback copy, and revokes its report invitations. A fuller privacy policy will be published before public launch.
